1What Is Tongue and Groove Flooring?
Tongue and groove flooring is wood flooring that's quite easy to install because the floorboards are all fitted with a protruding (tongue) and concave (groove) parts that fit together like puzzle pieces. All four sides of the floorboards have tongues and grooves.
2What is the difference between hardwood and engineered hardwood flooring?
Engineered wood flooring looks almost identical to the hardwood on the surface, but instead of a single wood plank, it's made of a high-quality plywood core with a thin layer of hardwood flooring on top. Engineered wood flooring is a more affordable option, but it can't be refinished to extend its lifespan.
3What is click flooring?
Click flooring is a locking system that is used for floating floors.  This can be vinyl, laminate, engineered hardwood and other hard surface flooring options.  These floors are constructed using various patented mechanical locking tongue and groove systems, avoiding the need for nailing or gluing during the installation process.
4What is 5G click flooring
5G actually has 2 different methods, but for the purpose of the items we put 5g, we are referring to items that have a plastic insert integrated into the short end tongue portion of the board.  When the short ends are put together, a snap sounds confirms a proper installation which creates a connections that is more secure that reduces gapping.
5What is underpad flooring
Underlayment, often referred to as underpad is material required for floating floor installation.  Underlayment is needed to create a level and smooth surface for your floating floor to sit on and acts as a stabilizer between your flooring material and subfloor.  It provides the right amount of cushioning required to avoid damage to your flooring material, creates a more comfortable feel and provides sound and thermal benefits.   Underlayment comes in various materials such as EPE foam, EVA foam, IXPE Foam, felt and other options.  These underlayment’s will often have a pre-attached vapour barrier needed for installation over concrete along with a lip and tape system to make a sealed connection.
6what does Job lot mean?
a job lot or lot sale is a bundle of flooring that the manufacture wishes to sell together in its entirety.  Lots sales are often the last of a product and can be heavily discounted.
7Pick up locations explanation
Depending on the specific product, the pickup location can be different.  In stock items are picked up from our Mississauga location, but some items are located at other locations around the city requiring pickup at those location.  Delivery is available at an additional cost.
